Kangana Ranaut begins filming for ‘Chandramukhi 2’

The first day of shooting for Kangana Ranaut’s next movie, Chandramukhi 2, was Monday. “Started filming for Chandramukhi today,” Kangana captioned a photo of the movie’s clapboard that she posted on Instagram.

The movie is a follow-up to Rajinikanth and Jyothika’s hugely popular Tamil horror comedy Chandramukhi, which was directed by P. Vasu.

Kangana will play a dancer in the king’s court who was renowned for her beauty and dance prowess in Chandramukhi 2. In the movie, Kangana will co-star with the Tamil actor-filmmaker Raghava Lawrence in the main role. The movie has yet to have its official release date announced.

Earlier, costume designer Neeta Lulla spoke about designing for Kangana. In a statement, she said that to make a figure that shows grace in every Adaa, her face, hair, posture, and gait must all radiate and show the spirit of dance, which is Chandramukhi to her. The film will be both gorgeous and difficult to watch. The veteran designer is very happy to be working with Kangana again on this film; her true skill as an actor resides in her ability to completely immerse herself in the role she’s playing. She’s excited to see what comes together in Chandramukhi 2.

Kangana, meanwhile, has just finished filming Emergency, her upcoming period drama and debut as a solo filmmaker, in Assam. Kangana plays the eponymous character of the late politician in the movie Emergency, which is based on the life of former prime minister Indira Gandhi. In addition to Kangana, the movie also features important performances by Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Vishak Nair, and Shreyas Talpade.

She will soon be seen in Tejas, a movie in which she plays a pilot for the Indian Air Force. The movie has yet to have its official release date announced. She also has The Incarnation: Sita and Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda.

Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Tiku Weds Sheru, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur, will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
