Sri Sankara Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School East Tambaram organised “Bharathiyar Tamil Ilakkiya Mandram” function.
A press release said that the prominent tamil scholar Dr A Bhuma, HOD of Tagore college was the chief guest of the event.
“Function started with traditional thulasi vandham and Tamil Thaai vaazhthu in chorus by all the 500 students assembled. School Principal G Padmavathi presided over the function. V Gayathri, principal of Sri Sankara Global Academy East Tambaram and S K Susila, vice principal were also present,” the release added.
Students exhibited their talents in Tamil literature through dance, oration, spot quiz, and debate.
