Shooters ushered in a golden morning for India at the Asian Games 2023 on Wednesday as India’s gold medal tally increased to 5.
In 50m rifle 3-position, Sift Kaur Samra shot a world record score of 469.6 to clinch the gold while another Indian shooter Ashi Chouksey won the bronze medal in the event.
Earlier, the triumvirate of Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh and Rhythm Sangwan clinched the the gold medal in the women’s 25m pistol team. Manu Bhaker and Esha Singh are competing in the individual event too.
The men’s skeet team won a bronze medal too. The Indian women’s hockey team is currently playing against Singapore.
