Mark Antony movie review

Story:

Vishal and SJ Suryah are very close friends. They both are gangsters and are at loggerheads with another gangster Sunil. One day Sunil kills Vishal and he escapes from the town.

SJ Suryah is determined to seek revenge on Sunil for killing his friend. SJ Suryah raises Vishal’s son also played by Vishal and he gives more importance to him than his own son played by SJ Suryah.

Analysis:

Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the story of the movie is not something new.

But the film succeeds in providing fun in both halves. Adhik has created his own set of rules as far as the sci-fi element is considered.

Vishal is terrific both as a gangster and a mechanic. While the father’s character is intense, the son’s role is adorable.

Credit to him for showing the variations between both roles.

SJ  Suryah is impeccable in Mark Antony and the way he does comedy tickles the fun bones.

SJ Suryah’s trademark style and swag are superbly utilized by the makers. Sunil’s character could have been better.

However, he has done a decent job. Songs by G V Prakash could have been better, but the BGM stands out. Abdhinandan Ramanujam’s camerawork is impressive. Rest of the technical aspects are passable.

Rating: 3.3/5
