Netflix bags streaming rights of ‘Iraivan’

Jayam Ravi’s psycho thriller ‘Iraivan’ is one of the most awaited projects of the year.

The film, which also stars Nayanthara and Rahul Bose in the lead, is written and directed by Ahmed and is slated to hit screens on September 28.

Leading streaming platform Netflix has bagged the digital rights of the film. The thriller is likely to drop on Netflix, a month after its theatrical release. The streaming date is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi has stated in the promotions to expect the unexpected in the film. He added that the star cast has put in fantastic performances.

The team dropped a brand new trailer in which Jayam Ravi and his team are on a mission to hunt down Smiley Killer Bramma (Rahul Bose), who has been killing young women mercilessly and shows no remorse.

Bramma has been billed as a killer who considers himself god and one of the most intelligent beings on the planet.

The tone of the film has been intentionally kept dark to suit the mood of the goings-on on screen. The grim and dark trailer piqued the curiosity among the audience.

Jayam Ravi has added that the film is not advisable for children. It was also revealed yesterday that the Telugu version of the film is titled God. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music.
