Small bus brings big happiness : Tambaram MLA flags off S-3 and A-5 route buses

Joy of the residents of the neighbourhood knew no bounds as Tambaram MLA S R Raja flagged off the S-3 Mini bus and A-5 bus.

Residents of the locality have been demanding for the resumption of the bus services in S-3 route and A-5 route.

Tambaram MLA S R Raja, along with Tambaram Corporation Zone-3 Chairman Pradeep, councillors, representatives of various residents welfare associations took the first ride in the bus.

Residents said that several representations were made to the local body representatives and MLA who assured to take necessary action. Following this bus services have resumed in these routes.

The S-3 bus will be operated between Chrompet ESI hospital till Madambakkam and vice versa. The mini bus will take the Chitlapakkam – Rajakilpakkam route.

The A-5 bus will connect T.Nagar with Balaji Nagar and will use the Madipakkam – Velacheri route.

L Sundararaman president of Chitlapakkam Muthulakshmi Nagar Association thanked Tambaram MLA S R Raja, local body representatives and officials concerned for resuming the bus services.

Members of Federation of Residents Welfare Association (FORWA) also expressed their happiness over the resumption of the bus services.

FORWA general secretary Rishi Kumar said that resumption of the S-3 bus services was one of the many demands which were represented to the MLA.

“MLA assured us to take necessary action at the earliest and we are happy that the bus services have resumed now,” he said.

Social activist V Seetharaman requested the public to make use of the bus services so that the frequency can be increased.

Seetharaman also requested that the MLA and officials should take necessary action to resume the bus services in S-10 route as well. He said this will also be beneficial for residents.
