Tambaram: As more wards are being added to the Tambaram Corporation, the urban local body’s office is likely to relocate to a three-floor building.
Sources said that the building process will soon start. The present building was constructed when Tambaram comrpised on 38 wards. However, after being upgraded to Corporation, Tambaram has 70 wards.
According to corporation commissioner R Alagumeena, “The corporation is planning to build a larger building for 50 crore near the tuberculosis hospital in Tambaram Sanatorium.”
It is said that the new structure will have three levels, with parking available on the first floor. The fifteen town panchayats that will be added to Tambaram will fit in it.
